Fall Flavors at Seasons 52
It's true. Eating what's in season promises the freshest ingredients and leads to a satisfying meal. That is what Seasons 52 is all about. Their menu changes with the season because they want to serve the freshest food possible. They also utilize cooking methods such as brick oven roasting and open-fire grilling to bring out natural flavors. I was invited out to try their fall menu and I can honestly say they live up to their commitment of serving fresh food. Not only was the food fresh, but everything was well executed and seasoned just right. Moreover, the ambiance is sophisticated and relaxing. Seasons 52 is truly a restaurant to frequent for every season.
Another great reason to visit now is their Harvest Dinner that they are offering until November 22. For only $29, you can enjoy a 3 course meal that includes an appetizer, entrée and dessert. Take a peak at the menu now! Additionally, they are also offering select wines for $6 a glass! I know where I'm going for my next date night! I ordered the Famille Perrin Réserve White Blend, as a recommended wine to go with my Ahi Tuna Tartare. It was very smooth and paired well with the tuna. Additionally, Seasons 52 also offers a Kids' Menu, which includes soups and entrees. It is rare to find a nice restaurant that is not casual that has your kiddos in mind! My kids absolutely loved their meal. They felt all grown up with their cheese flat bread and Angus hamburger.
I decided to start dinner with the server's suggestion of the Ahi Tuna Tartare. I love when I ask my server for suggestions and their suggestions are perfect! This was definitely the case when I asked for a recommended appetizer. The Ahi Tuna Tartare was a carefully thought out dish where the tropical salsa, wasabi-avocado mousse and tuna all complemented each other really well. The fruitiness and slight sweetness of the fruit salsa balanced out the hint of wasabi. I smiled at the fact that the wasabi was not overpowering. It was probably was one of the best tartare I have consumed.
If you're ordering from the Harvest Menu, which is a no-brainer, I highly recommend the Porcini Mushroom Bisque. It was so flavorful and creamy. My daughters were fighting over this bowl. That says a lot when your kids want mushroom soup!
For the entrée, nothing beats a good gamey meat like the Braised Australian Lamb Shank. It is cooked perfectly with the lamb flavor shining through. The mashed potatoes soak up the juices and make each bite exquisite.
Lastly, you must save room for dessert. The Mini Indulgences come in just the right serving amount and will end your meal with delight. We were generously treated to all their flavors. They include Key Lime Pie, Raspberry Cannoli, Pecan Pie, Belgian Chocolate S'more, Mocha Macchiato, Chocolate Peanut Butter Torte, Pumpkin Pie and Carrot Cake. It was dessert heaven! I don't even know if I can choose a favorite because they were all so delicious. Also, be sure to indulge with a cup of tea. The Peach Ginger Tea was amazing! It help finish the meal just right.
If you decide to order on the regular menu, I would also suggest the Caramelized Grilled Sea Scallops. It was light yet filling. The scallops melted in my mouth and were cooked to just the right temperature and texture. The fact that they were grilled really brought out the natural flavor.
DO NOT miss out on this season's menu! Season's 52 is the ideal location for great food, attentive service and an enjoyable atmosphere.
