New Restaurant Alert: Cavo Coffee is a Life Saver

Saturday afternoon, my friend and I found ourselves in disbelief as we sat in the middle of the dining room at Oishii Restaurant. After reading good reviews and seeing how reasonable their prices were, I thought we would be in for a treat at this casual, laid back sushi spot. However, we were not impressed by any means. Long story short, the service and food were upsetting. Highly disappointed in our experience, we anticipated going across the street to what seemed the answer to our prayers...Cavo Coffee! We needed something stat to rid the bad tastes in our mouths.

Walking in, we were immediately relieved by the smell of fresh coffee and welcomed by the friendly faces behind the counter. The decor was modern and simplistic. I loved the marbled walls around the counter. The menu highlighted the fact that they make all their syrups in house...BONUS POINTS! Then I saw that their chai is also house-made! I had to try the Chai Latte, while my friend ordered the Vanilla Latte. Both were perfectly executed. The Chai Latte was creamy and smooth, with a light finish.

We then inquired of anything sweet. They offered a variety of baked goods such as cookies and scones. We opted for the  Bread Pudding. It was amazing! The beer caramel sauce and roasted marshmallow topping were creative twists for this dessert. The bread part of it was perfectly baked, not being mushy, but had the perfect combination of density, softness, and crunch on the outer layer. It complemented our lattes perfectly. Oh, and those berries were super fresh.

So what started off as a horrible experience, later ended with a save from Cavo Coffee. I can't wait to try their other menu items. They're a must try coffee spot.
