Restaurant News: Perry's Steakhouse Anniversary Menu is Back

For the entire month of July, Perry's Steakhouse & Grille is offering their Anniversary Menu in honor of nearly 4 decades of business. The menu consists of 4 courses with 4 choices for $44. Being a huge fan of their food, I had to go support this. Choose from the following:

Fried Asparagus, Beef & Bleu, Pork Chop Bites, Steak Tartare

Caesar, Butcher's Chop, Kale, Wedge

6-oz Filet, Salmon, Pork Chop, Chicken & Roasted Carrots

Creme Brulee, Dessert Trio, Candy Bar, Nutty d'Angelo

 Fried Asparagus

Fried Asparagus

For my first course, I had to get the Fried Asparagus. Fresh spears of asparagus were fried to a golden crisp, then topped with jumbo lump crabmeat. They were then placed atop melted butter. They were a great way to start the meal, building excitement for the rest of the courses.

 Butcher's Chop

Next, was the Salad Course. The Butcher's Chop was an excellent choice. It consisted of chopped iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, bacon and a vinaigrette dressing. Let me tell you...this was the freshest salad I've tasted ever. Although being basic vegetables, I have never tasted such freshness. It tasted like they literally just picked them out of a garden.

For my entree, I had to order the 6-oz Filet, medium well of course. It was tender and juicy, what a steak should be. Steaks are what Perry's is known for so you can never go wrong with their beef.

Lastly, I managed to squeeze in the dessert course. This ended up being the Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Candy Bar.  This decadent dessert was crafted with milk chocolate peanut butter mousse, with a chocolate cookie crust, topped with hot fudge and whipped cream, plated with candied peanuts. The classic combination of chocolate and peanut butter is a favorite of mine and this did not disappoint. I also loved the mix of textures, with the creaminess of the mousse and crunch of the cookie crust and peanuts.

Additionally, you can't go wrong with the Dessert Trio either. No, I did not order both but I can't complete this post without a couple honorable mentions on the other items I've had from Perry's. The Dessert Trio comes with a Vanilla Bean Cream Brulee, a bite of both the Chocolate Crunch and Praline Cheesecake. Off the Anniversary Menu, I ALWAYS order the Mont Blanc a la Frisc. This amazing dessert is composed of vanilla ice cream served on a homemade sponge cake with freshly cut strawberries, topped with a flambéed Belgian white chocolate sauce and Bailey's Irish Cream. For your enjoyment, it is made table side. Additionally, a couple more MUST TRY items are the French Onion Soup, Perry's Famous Pork Chop and the Lyonnaise Potatoes.

When you mix excellent service, a welcoming ambiance and consistently delicious food, a restaurant can celebrate nearly four decades of success.  Perry's Steakhouse & Grille definitely lives up to their RARE & WELL DONE motto.
